   Why Coaching

The intent of coaching is to look honestly at your current life and circumstances compared to where you want to be and what's getting in the way of achieving it. My goal at One Wild Life is to help you reach those goals by breaking them down to actionable steps and shifts that you can start today!

How are coaching and counseling different?

Most simply, counseling looks into a client's past to better understand & heal current struggles, and coaching looks to a client's desired future & helps create a plan to get her there from her current circumstances.

Coaching

  • now + what's next

  • action oriented

  • life change

  • communication

  • problem solving

  • planning/organizing

vs.

Counseling

  • what happened + now

  • coping oriented

  • addiction

  • phobias

  • trauma

How does coaching work?

First and foremost, One Wild Life promises to offer a safe, non-judgemental environment for our conversations.

Once you schedule a session, you will receive a Welcome questionnaire designed for me to get to know you better and prepare for our call.

During the session, I will ask questions to help us dive deeper. The goal is to discover what exactly has you stuck in life and what you actually want. You will leave with action steps that you can start right away to move you forward on that path. You'll also receive a plan from me for future sessions.

Post session, keep up with the action steps discussed. Reflect on what's working and what's not. Keep moving towards your goals.

As a coach, it's an honor to be trusted in your life story!

How much time will I need to invest?

Each session is one hour in length and will leave you with action steps for the next couple weeks. While we can cover a lot in an hour, booking several sessions helps build on progress gained and move you along further and faster.

It is not my intent that you become dependent on coaching. Rather you'll learn skills to use yourself.

What is needed of me to make coaching successful?

The most important thing for successful coaching is to come to each session willing to share honestly, open to feedback, and committed to the work of change + growth.

My role as coach is not to give you the answers, change your mind, or control your outcomes. Instead it is to guide you to discovery, affirm + expand your goals, and help uncover next steps.

What if it doesn't work for me?

I truly believe that every client will leave with action steps that will serve in directing her towards her goals + dreams. That said, you are responsible for your own life and taking those actions!

If you are truly dissatisfied with your experience, please reach out.
